Many parents opt to have circumcision performed shortly after birth. Some religions wait until several days following the birth. Some men who didn’t get circumcised as a baby choose the procedure later in life. It’s never too late in life to receive a circumcision, though the procedure may vary as the individual becomes older.

Research shows a significant number of health benefits to circumcision. Men who receive the procedure are less likely to develop urinary tract infections, contract STDs and STIs, lower the risk of penile cancer and infections, and exhibit better hygiene.

The entire circumcision is over in minutes. There is very little bleeding and no stitches are required.

After the procedure is performed, daily life can carry on without much interruption. If your baby has been circumcised, you will need to redress the wound after each diaper change for the first few days, as well as apply ointment to the wound. After 4-5 days, you’ll be able to bathe your baby normally. And, after 7-10 days, the wound should be completely healed.

Circumcision is permanent, which means the foreskin will not grow back. This is a one-time procedure, so you won’t have to worry about follow up procedures in future years.
